Traditionally, Vietnamese tea drinking is considered a hobby of the older, more learned members in households and in the society in general. Tea drinking would accompany aristocratic activities such as composing poems, tending flowers, or simply appreciating nature. Vietnamese people generally favor lighter teas with flower fragrance, which is green tea or white tea infused with flowers.

Most of the tea plantations in Vietnam are located in the Dalat region, which is located in the southwest of the country. This mountainous area is characterized by a mild climate that is particularly suitable for growing Camellia Sinensis tea. With low temperature differences and a temperate climate, this region is ideal for tea plantations to flourish. Often small-scale production facilities offer a variety of tea varieties with a delicate and unique flavor. Hand-picked tea leaves and their careful twisting guarantee the preservation of the flavor. In addition to the common green tea, Vietnam also produces some rare white teas. Vietnamese tea is famous for its high quality and unique flavors, revealing sweet and fresh aromas that will appeal to tea lovers while remaining very affordable.

Vietnamese Oolong Tea is also produced.
