Hi,
I'm a theatre maker with Letter of Marque Theatre and we've been making an online interactive immersive theatre piece called the Cup of Knowledge, which will go up Jan 29th-31st on gather town.
The piece looks at the history of tea, from Robert Fortune's industrial espionage in China, to tea leaf leading and Annie Horniman, the daughter of the founder of the Horniman Tea Company, who was also a fortune teller and funded the creation of the Smith-Waite tarot deck.
I thought anyone interested in tea might love to come to a performance celebrating all things tea!
A fortune teller peddles the whispers written in the stars, in one of oldest professions still forbidden to women. For a woman who drinks from the cup of knowledge is aware she can support herself financially and emotionally, and what dear reader, is more threatening than that?
